We had a lovely family evening at the Duke. The Landlady greeted us at the door and was amazingly hospitable. Atmosphere was great lively and friendly. Dogs are most welcome- encouraged. The food was very good, with a nice step away from usual traditional pub grub. Quality was top notch. And sensibly priced. Highly recommend 👌

A lovely friendly pub, just what you want after a walk. Don't be put off by the slightly tired exterior of the building, we enjoyed an excellent pub lunch here and look forward to our next visit. We felt very welcomed. The chips were a triumph (crisp exterior, hot soft interior - perfect) and the burgers / scampi also very good. Dog friendly (with permission).
