Historic coaching inn with its own car park,beer garden and kiddies play area Situated near the entrance of the Beamish museum so handy if your visiting there.... best to book in advance Varied menu with plenty of options for all... vegetarians and kiddies etc.The pub is clean and tidy and although busy the service was quick,friendly and efficient and there was an excellent pint of Tim Taylors Landlord

We'd heard about this place from friends, then when some family visited us we came here for food. It was well worth it. The main course was lovely, had proper homemade chunky chips, the mixed grill was £14 and was huge. Plenty of choice for main course and desserts, chocolate fudge cake would be my recommendation. Plenty of staff to take your order. Has a nice outside play area, parking can be a bit hard, it very busy and we outside seats you can struggle a little bit.
